Hi, I’m Dylan Droptiny — the creative mind behind D3. I’ve been drawn to animation and visual storytelling for as long as I can remember, from racing home after school to catch my favorite cartoons to eventually earning my BFA in Art & Design from Northern Michigan University. Today, I’m still creating from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where I spend my time bringing ideas to life through 3D, motion, and design.
But D3 isn’t powered by creativity alone. I may be the creative mind behind it, but my family is the fuel that keeps the whole thing running. My fiancée and our daughter are a huge part of what motivates me to keep creating, learning, and building something of my own. They’re the reason the work matters beyond the screen.
When I’m not behind a computer, you’ll probably find me somewhere around Lake Superior, playing a video game, or spending time with my family and our endlessly spoiled cat, Pepper. Whether you have a project in mind, a question, or just want to say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
